E = Youngs Modulus

ν = Poissons Ratio

Multiple direction normal stress to z direction normal strain (3)

Multiple direction shear stress to xy direction shear strain (4)

γ = Shear Strain

τ = Shear Stress

G = Shear Modulus


Multiple direction shear stress to xz direction shear strain (5)

Multiple direction shear stress to yz direction shear strain (6)

The same principles discussed here will apply when dealing strains in multiple directions.
