Fluid Mechanics: Water Jets and Bernoulli's Equation

The height of a water jet can also be determined using Bernoulli's equation. It does this by relating the dynamics pressure and the static pressure through equation 1. Due to the fact that the jet of pressure is open to atmosphere there is no initial gage pressures to consider.

Bernoulli's water jet equation (1)

ρ = Density

v = velocity

γ = Specific Weight

h = Jet height
