Dynamics: Conservation of Momentum

Conservation of momentum means that the momentum of a rigid body interacting with another rigid body will be the same on both sides of the equation. Refer to equation 1 for the conservation of linear moment, and equation 2 for the conservation of angular momentum.

m = mass

v1 = Initial velocity

v2 = Final velocity

I = Moment of Inertia

ω1 = Initial anglular velocity

ω2 = Final anglular velocity
