Dynamics: Conservation of Energy

By the laws of thermodynamics the energy that goes in must be the energy that comes out, since energy cannot be created or destroyed. This means if you do not consider any residual losses of energy from friction or drag, the amount of potential energy should result in the same amount of kinetic energy. Refer to equation 1.
